What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are completely different in their function, cultivation and application. In its application, hemp and marijuana serve completely different purposes. Marijuana, as it is widely known, has psychoactive properties and is used both recreationally as well as for medical purposes. Hemp, on the other hand, is used in a variety of applications that marijuana couldn’t possibly be used in. These include healthy dietary supplements, skin products, clothing, and textiles. Overall, the hemp plant is known to have over 25,000 applications.

Unfortunately, these differences didn’t stop our political leaders from grouping all Cannabis species as a Schedule 1 drug, banning it under the Controlled Substances Act in 1970. Even after 50 years, the government still barely distinguishes the two plants. Although new legislation is addressing this discrepancy, progress has been slow.

Which strain should I buy?

Each strain we produce has been grown with the same care and attention and have undergone the same rigorous testing and trials. The primary difference between each strain is the concentration of CBG and the terpene profile which can be reviewed under Hemp Strains.

What is Hemp Biomass? Do you sell Hemp Biomass?

Biomass, by definition, is the remaining organic material (stalks & leaves) after the flowers and/or seeds have been harvested from the plant. This is all the plant material that can be sent for the process to produce either isolate (powder) or distillate (oil). We do not currently sell Hemp Biomass.
